Booking information: Social visits must be pre-booked on the social visits booking line number, 01908 722 329. The line is open 08:00 - 11:30 & 13:00 - 15:30 Monday to Friday. This number is for booking social visits only. For official visits, please see below.
Alternatively, you can book a visit online by filling in the visit booking form, and sending it directly to the prison by clicking the submit button on the right of the form.

Additional information: There is a family friendly visitors' centre run by the Prison Advice and Care Trust (pact), and independent charity. Visitors' are offered a warm welcome, information and support.

Official visits

Booking information: Official visits must be pre-booked via email: legalvisits.woodhill@hmps.gsi.gov.uk This is to book official visits only. The official visits information line, 01908 722073 is open Mon-Fri 09:00 - 16:00.
Additional information: Visitors must be in possession of Approved Visitor Identification, and can produce one of the following;
- A Valid Passport, including foreign passports where the photograph is recognisable
- E.U Identity card where the photograph is recognisable.
- A valid Driving Licence where the photograph is recognisable and the correct address is clearly displayed.
- Employer's or Student ID card but only if this clearly shows the name of the visitor & the issuing employer or educational establishment, and where the photograph is recognisable.
- A valid Shotgun licence, where the photograph is recognisable.
- An Inland Revenue Tax Identity card, where the photograph is recognisable.
- A Ministry of Justice Identification card, where the photograph is recognisable.
- Barrister Identity Card where the photograph is recognisable. (From one of the following: Middle Temple, Inner Temple, Gray's Inn & Lincoln's Inn)
- Law Society ID Card.
If you are unable to produce one of the above, you may produce a combination of two or more of the following;
- Birth/Marriage Certificate with you correct current surname on it.
- Rail or Bus Pass or Young Persons Rail or Bus Pass where the photograph is recognisable.
- Bank debit card with supporting bank statement (dated within the last 3 months) that clearly shows your name and has your current address on it.
- Rent Card with official statement or letter relating to your current address with your surname on it, from either the appropriate Council or Letting Agent or landlord.
- Foreign Identity or Residents Card (other than EC ID card) where the photograph is recognisable and that meets with manager approval.
- Community Council Tax statement with correct name and address on it.
Play centre: Open five to six days a week, with two afternoon sessions on weekend days. A chart in the Visits Centre states the days we are open each week.
Lockers: You should bring a pound coin for a locker with you to secure any personal belongings. No items other than loose money to the value of £20 are allowed in the visits hall.
