Brinsford

A modern establishment designed and constructed in a single phase on a green field site acquired from the Ministry of Defence.

The site already accommodated HMP Featherstone and opened in November 1991. In 2002 two additional education blocks were built.

In 2008 an additional residential unit and activity centre were built which has increased the population and the range and quantity of vocational training available. This has resulted in a reduction of young people places and increase in sentenced young adult places.
