Reducing Re-offending via Community and Custody Partnerships

At HMP Hull there is a strong focus on resettlement with many prisoners employed in the workshops kitchens, gardens and works departments.

We have built partnerships with voluntary and community sector organisations, who provide specialist services and training for prisoners. This gives them the chance to gain new skills, increasing their chances of long-term employment on release - meaning they are less likely to re-offend.
