Central Partnership
A Central Partnership was set up in June 2002 consisting of staff at strategic level in four organisations: English Nature, the Wildlife Trusts, the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. The Central Partnership meets approximately three times a year and gives advice on implementing the PSBAP.
Lead partners
In addition to the Central Partnership, a network of organisations are assisting the Prison Service to implement the Biodiversity Action Plan. These organisations give advice ranging from direction on specific species and habitat action plans, to general guidelines on how to manage for particular species. There are currently ten partner organisations, and the number is increasing as the Plan progresses.
